Thank you Caveman04. That is exactly how an experienced or professionally trader approaches their buying. It's easy to let oneself get caught up in the emotional Rah Rah Rah's of a community of supporters and allow yourself to believe you're helping the cause. The fact is, it doesn't help anything except in the moment and only by way of reflecting a momentary higher price. The market makers who are sitting with 10k on the ask are usually shorting with an 'endless supply' of naked shorts for which they have not done their attempt to locate function and have no intention of covering until forced to do so. I know that's isn't EVERY market maker but many, if not most, of them. All you're doing by slapping the ask is exercising impatience and throwing away money.

Sure, there's always the chance of 'being left behind' should the stock suddenly rocket off. But, how often does that happen to a stock you're in? It's always a risk but so is slapping the ask, only to watch it drop shortly thereafter to a lower price. Exercise patience and ignore those who would rather see you part with more of your money than necessary and ONLY for their temporary satisfaction. Be smart and do it for yourself, not for anybody else.

Everything I post is purely my opinion. I am not here to give advice or manage finances for anyone other than myself. Please do your own due diligence when considering investing or divesting yourself of any existing investment.
