5G is a cellular frequency able to transmit cellular data at higher speeds. there is no 'adapting' needed for phone apps themselves. all the adaptation for 5G takes place with the cellular provider equipment and phones

look at it like this- if you switch your home pc from being connected to a dial up 56k modem to a 100mb cable internet modem, did you need to adapt any of the installed software on the pc? nope.
