the real old ones were just a rheostat......variable resistance.....modern dimmers make -or- break..at frequency fast enough to go un noticed.......if you put one in a series circuit and run thru an o-scope, I would imagine the freq to be several hundred hz

does anyone know if we finished polishing the 6000 light fixtures at that scam resort.....$$$$$$$$$ ZNGY $$$$....yeeeessss!!
