I wonder if Montage management would consider a small dividend to counter the effects the shorts have had here.

Having a P/E of 2.5 when the industry average is 12.5 is absurd. There should be a consequence for shorters terrorizing a small company like this. If you truly believe the stock is overvalued, and you short the stock, be prepared to cover the dividend of the amount you shorted.
