Is Vaping causing cannabis-related stocks to suffer?

Many of us are looking at MJ charts wondering if the selloff and potential double-bottoms are offering a LONG re-entry point.

The question is, is VAPING just FUD? Or is it having a REAL IMPACT? I don't know, but ran across this article today. Possibly it's 'old-news' to many of you who follow MJ stocks daily. I mainly look at charts so haven't been too interested for many months for obvious reasons...

How Vaping Relates to Cannabis

CDC Director Robert Redfield noted, “CDC has made it a priority to find out what is causing this outbreak of e-cigarette or vaping-related injuries and deaths.”

** NOT BASHING! ** I like MJ long-term, but imo 'the space' got way over-popular & over-crowded late in the game, and I've been patiently waiting for those late-losers to exit before the next legs higher.
