T. Boone Pickens had a visionary proposal a few years back about an LNG coast-to-coast gas highway structure for heavy trucks that easily and cheaply convert to nat gas that is cheaper and WAY less polluting than diesel fuel. Of course, the Oil Lobby quashed it at the gate and no politico would touch the idea.

Sad, actually. It's the same way the petro-pigs killed ethanol.
