easy:bign has slowly but surely been weaning themselves from the "dependance" on hydroslotter for value. Certainly I for one can appreciate this, and leverages bargaining power in any future agreements.
From all accounts as near as I can make out, a new and patentable technique of similtaneous well bore "rejuvination" and enhanced oil and gas recovery (although hydroslotting)utiliziing NCO2 existing technology is being developed with Royal having no small part in this.
Not much information about the NCO2 company has been shared with us, so I assume it is part of their long term plans. Anyhow, by making the deal and patenting a "combined" technology kinda serves as a glue between the two companies and assures mutual cooperation (I hope anyway).
So in essence when we combine what we know about the two very different technolgies, we find one compliments the other. By themselves they are both capable of increasing production up to 300% and more. But when you combine the two technologies by going down the side only once, you do two things, save costs by descreasing duplication of efforts, and increase the potential of the recovery process - essentially seeking to DOUBLE recovery rates attainable by hydroslotting alone.
Should it be successful,(rendering stand alone hydroslotting old news)we have essentially entered into a PARTNERSHIP......
as such re-negotiations should be tipped a little more fairly, and the companies should now operate as a single entity.
Now aside from us benefitting, how does hydroslotter benefit equally? Perhaps a little ways down the road we will see another spin-off, and another site that boast identicle pr's.
In order for this to happen,both companies must undergo growth as a equal rate. One will not be able to outpace the other, and so a new era of mutually beneficial cooperation should be formed, and in-house bickering ceasing to exist.
If you read over the Royal site again - they hint they are the ones developing the technique or funding it, something to that effect.
