This seem to be another correct thinking. Because WH is driving these initiatives (mainly Mick, Larry, may be DJT), SM and MC seem to be clueless about what is going to come next.

But because SM and MC are two public faces that are required to show up on inquisitive media and say something, these people say some thing even though it makes no sense. If SM and MC were really in charge then they would not be talking in such uncertain and clueless manner.

So it is better not to focus on just these two guys.
