I'm only guessing ...

Could be that most investors are a little wary about the market now that it's testing its all-time high. If that's a general market feeling, the first thing cautious investors would do is to reduce ownership of high-multiple stocks which is exactly what AMD is.

I saw that AMD was looking a little blue in the face on Sep 5 as it would not cross over SMA(50) -- and had trouble with that for over two weeks as SMA(50) went flat -- so I sold AMD and moved on to buy AAL yesterday (and closed that a little while ago for a gain of $0.85).

At this point I'm all cash again, and not in a hurry to spend it on any stock (especially AMD) right now.
