One more thing to add about cloud thing and 5G,
Largest operators/service providers in US(T, VZ, TMUS) are on 4G, T started an early transformation into 5G in the late ‘18, still far away from a complete upgrade however the benefits will enormous; all these things 5G and Cloud are gonna be huge;
Basically, currently all legacy operators are using cell towers to provide a signal and coverage to your cell , it’s a very expensive, capital intensive and hard to fix network issues, also as number of subscribers are increasing all over the world there is more and more pressure/load on these towers resulting in data slowness and call drops;
This all is going to change eventually when 5G and cloud will come into play one day; once that happens the cell towers will be gone and cell signals will be controlled through the virtual servers in the cloud; it’s going to take some time however speed, cell site maintenance costs, and flexibility will be there; right now it’s hard to imagine the exact capabilities of 5G however it’s going to disrupt many areas not only in telecommunication industry but our daily lives; people through their cellphones will be able to control and monitor many things;
Now, for Francesca’s, I’m not sure if they are using full ERP system yet , my guess would be no but might be wrong, anyway once they utilize ERP and cloud infrastructure, supply chain, merchandising, sales, suppliers, store managers and senior management all will be linked and communicate much faster and make a timely decisions which is a key in retail sector; also all inventory management should be improved through better stores allocation and flow;
We don’t know at this moment, but maybe we expend internationally in the future once they clean domestic mess; I know Japanese, Canadians, other Asian countries are liking Francesca’s products;
I was trying to make this simple without getting too much into details however in some areas it’s hard to do...
