Rock, the answer is as much legal as financial reporting. I suppose i could search the AICPA for guidance. I cannot see myself doing the math, unless ameritrade will do the work automatically. i have multiple purchases over the years. i have not been here as long as you, still several years of laddered in purchases. I would not call it dollar cost averaging, but many purchases nonetheless.
