Trading AMD,

To limit exposure to market indecisiveness (AKA volatility) and be long the market, I think it's best to limit stock trading to the best three days of each week, and be out of the market over the weekend (to avoid weekend news that could be bad for the market on Monday morning). That means that, usually, Wednesday would be the best day to enter a trade.

For last week, that would have been the last three days of that week, and that's exactly what I did by going long AMD on Wednesday and writing that week's CCs -- and my shares were assigned.

So that means I'm again looking for the right conditions to enter the market this week with AMD; and so far that might be Wednesday again.

I think it's worthwhile to wait and see if AMD continues to go lower and test the area above the bottom (fourth) fork tine which is a little below SMA(100) which today is right on $30. When AMD touches $30 (as it has several times recently), I'm in. Wait for price to rise then sell CCs. Maybe gets called away on the bounce; wash, rinse, repeat next week.
