I have been expecting M&A activity in the gold and silver asset class. A small royalty and streaming company with quality contracts would be a prime candidate to be acquired by a larger company like FrancoNevada. Stock trading being halted on a Friday after hours would be an appropriate step in this evolution. I have nothing repeat nothing to back any of this up except my suspicions and my expectation of M&A activity. Will be interesting to hear the real reason on Tuesday. The gold and silver asset class is tiny and smart money is starting to realize that ZIRP and NIRP make holding gold very attractive.
