An interesting event occurred last night that strikes me it is just a microcosm of the current society.

I was at a fight (boxing) last night and it was first come, first served basically for a place to stand near the ring. Myself and a few others got there around 4:45 for the first fight that started at 5:30.
Around 8:30 and the seventh fight is coming up and a bunch of people in pink shirts start moving through the crowd trying to inch their way to the front. They ask our group if they can get in front of us to be ringside and we tell them no. One of them tells me, "we asked you nicely and you won't let us through?". I respond with, "And I'm answering nicely that we've been here for almost four hours, so no, we aren't going to move". Then one tells me, "well my girlfriend is fighting so I don't care what you want". Shortly after, a fight ensues with many of this pink shirted group and all the people who've been standing there for hours.
It just strikes me that this is the new liberal mindset. "Hey, we did ask you nicely. We don't care that you are already here. You said no, so now we're turning it violent".
There is no longer a possibility to compromise in our country.

Just my opinion, of course.
