I would not read too much into this as an individual event, but is the first of the type of thing that will dog the new administration. Expect 5 Star and PD to plummet in the polls as Salvini goes into full on campaign mode. In the short term, this new administration is positive for the EU / DB, but in the longer term it’s probably terminal.

Eventually Salvini will be back in government, and probably without coalition partners. His hatred to the EU / EURO is unbridled. In the longer term, this new government backed by the EU will go down as the most stupid self destructing action since the Second World War.
