HITACHI 350 is also an excavator. Fule consumption is 6.3 Gal/ Hr ( NOT 8 Gal/Hr). Granted there may be variance but your number is off

WAY to do your DD. Show me a link to prove your reference. For someone that claims to do accurate DD, you are WAY OFF on Fuel price and on Fuel Consumption

So lets use your calculation:
12 hrs a day
11.3 Gallons an hr (using both excavator in your example)
$2.0/ Gallon (For being conservative)

12X11.3X$2.0= $271.2 a day as opposed to $3360 you indicated.
