Based on this article, it appears that a system like Redcats could soon be required as they are on manned aircraft currently to be certified "airworthy" in the future by .gov. IMHO based on the information in the article this burden would fall on the manufacturer so they would meet those requirements set out by the .gov air traffic control system. Really believe there is enough evidence now to assume that they are not far away from launching a fairly large integrated management system involving the largest drone manufacturers as well as some of the larger hobby shops(IE think Rotor Riot). When you look at this big picture, you start to understand why Redcat may be looking to merge with Rotor Riot IMHO. They could have the only certified hobby shop customized drones early on in the race. Could be wrong but am just trying to speculate why they are pursing this merger.
