I think it's interesting that the shareholders committee and not the company is compiling the count.

I believe by doing it this way now sets up the owners (not the issuer) as the harmed party in any future racketeering case. It also allows a lawsuit from shareholders to exist independent of the fate of Rufus or CSHD - which may be rocky.

Ask yourself this: If you see evidence gathered by a common stock shareholders group that points to several million unreported (broker to broker), naked short shares.... wouldn't that be interesting to those overseeing the overseers?

And wouldn't the existence of these DTCC unreported shares in accounts indicate that a broker loaned (created) nonexistent shares? And wouldn't that share "loan" if supported by an operational policy of not allowing buying be evidence of RICO activity? Or, alternatively, wouldn't that share "loan" if linked to false / misleading postings by parties set to benefit from a share price drop be evidence of RICO activity? Wouldn't the existence of these shares in retail accounts be reason to at least ask these hard questions?

I'm curious.
