It only took me 3 months to realise this was changed.

I don't like it.

The siggy often reflects the mood at the time of the post. Changing it to today's siggy can, and often does, change the context of the message that was originally written.

It's like deleting all messages older than the last 30 days to save disk space. I doubt anyone would stand for that.

Opinions are fluid, and signatures are fluid reflecting opinion. To remove the signature at the time invalidates the entire message.
