Wade: you're changing the subject. Your post referenced the last 4 recessions. That was clearly WRONG ! Those were NOT the last 4 recessions.

The issue is that the yield inversion just warned of a potential recession. So what's relevant is what the market does ahead of and during a recession.

Now you're pointing at all major drops in the market regardless of recession. Yes, there there have been plenty of major corrections in the absence of recession like the 20% drop last fall.
