Not only is blockchain not the security and resilience of the cloud, the cloud is in some ways remarkably insecure. 90%+ of the cloud runs on Linux because it's basically free, and it's free because it's open-source.

Blockchain is about making it impossible to change or insert data which is great for things like bank accounts and anti-counterfeiting, but for most things, it's handy to be able to change and insert data.
