Real estate even at these prices would be a highly desirable asset in the context of any kind of significant inflation.
In fact with a mini hyper-inflation (not impossible IMO), I would wish good luck to anyone not holding real estate. I have two pieces of property which are not for sell.
I am also not buying; however, it is interesting that everybody was talking about the real estate bubble two years ago and it was a great time to buy.
Do you know where I could find similar data for Washington DC and Florida (particularly Dade County)?
