Like the kitchen sponge the Bordeaux mix containing copper would have to compete with copper in cost of manufacture or show an advantage that justified cost. Somebody would have to put the leg work into studying then promoting and manufacture and sales. Right now there's no indication I've seen presented of the "shelf life" of the antimicrobial properties. This is something that should be addressed. is it permanent semi-permanent or fades relatively quickly compared to competing elements such as silver or copper.

Seems like one advantage would be what I perceive as an environmentally friendly and less hazardous advantage compared to bordeaux mix and potential copper poisoning of land animals and people. Another advantage might be the ability to wash silicon nitride off the surface of grain restoring it to a relatively unadulterated state unlike water soluble solutions. May be an interesting characteristic when considering both agricultural applications and crop storage.
