It was that way in '84 when I moved there, got too big too fast. Still a great place, best University in the country, best music, great looking women, tons of restaurants and bars. Perfect if you're young and single, but tons o' traffic and too damn hot & humid. The last time it snowed was January 2004 for one day in North Austin/Georgetown and it only lasted for an hour or so after sunrise then melted away. I packed up and moved to MT, I miss Austin and always love to hear people brag about the city I lived in for most of my life. Austin bonus: golf year round. MT bonus: 15 minutes to the slopes.
