I read an article yesterday in the Chicago Sun Times. It was about an American Hero. A soldier by the name of Brian Anderson who returned to his home in Rowling Meadows. He is one of only three soldiers to lose all or part of three limbs and survive from his service in Iraq. It was on the news and I got quite emotional when I read it and saw it. At the same time I realized that I am very fortunate to have my health, wonderful children and good friends. I give thanks for these things and they are more important than any finacial setbacks I have encountered here.
