Hi Hawks, the way i'm reading it is that Trumpf is sincerely looking for a melt pool monitoring solution as they state their machines will carry it in the future.
It also seems that they are actively validating the application of melt pool monitoring on their machines as they can claim it works fine in parallel for multiple lasers.
Since they are at least in a collaboration with sigma labs through the Fraunhofer IAPT consortium i'd like to be optimistic and think that they are part of it.
