Not forgetting at all, but the difference is with Congressional members, their support of TBTF and WS in favor of the GSE's is like an annuity to them by way of ongoing donations to their campaigns going forward. GSE's would be a one hit wonder. Also, Gov't employees in any way associated with GSE's would be precluded from trading.
