I can see where you would say that, but in another thought process, he actually didn't do anything illegal.

Let's say that you have a web site that is based in the US, and you live in the US. On it, you say negative things that are all true about the Chinese government.

The internet can reach China, and someone over there happens to read your page. They find that what you have on your site, while true, is against a law in China.

YOU have done something illegal, according to the Chinese government. Their laws are not valid in the US, but what you have done on the internet is illegal over there.

That doesn't mean that what you did is illegal WHERE YOU ARE.

I see it fitting in the same way with him. What he is doing is illegal in the US, but there are no laws that make it as such where he is.

I can see where it may not be right, moral, or any of that good stuff - but if you are not breaking any laws where you are, and there is no extradition treaty, you really aren't doing anything "wrong."

Just becasue the US government wants to reach their hand out & say, "Pay me," doesn't mean they have the right to actually get it according to the laws of that land - Just like the rest of the world should have no say in what we do, no matter what John Kerry & friends say.

Now on the other hand, the people in the US who are gambling on his site ARE breaking the law.
