As I posted

Capstone has indicated they will try to market the widget directly to the public

And Bucho they are indeed trying, indeed you can order one directly this very minute for delivery (hopefully) in a couple more months.

But they're not being shown as available at any big box stores, are they?

And as you quoted Stewart, there is doubt that they will even be available in stores during the Christmas Season.
