KBL magic textile company – a US one-member limited liability company (KBL) is currently promoting the project of planting the mulberry along Thu Bon Riverbank.
The project is expected to continue to give opportunities to revive the silk reeling & weaving craft which used to be prosperously developed in Quang Nam region.
To realize this project, KBL has announced to supplement the investment capital for the project up to 50 million USD, and at the same time, carried out the signing with partners to promote the implementation of the project within this year.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has attended and witnessed the signing ceremony, on the basis that the project has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee, through the cooperation between KBL & Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology which have conducted research on breeding genetic resources with high quality and productivity.
In order to implement the project, KBL has signed a cooperation agreement with the Biotechnology Institute to build Dai Hiep laboratory and industrial zone
- signed with the central silk & mulberry research center to provide seedlings, and technical support for mulberry cultivation for businesses and farmers,
- signed with the capital supplier
- signed with Quang Nam agriculture extension center to guide, train and support farmers for growing mulberry raise silkworms in the direction of developing high-tech agriculture, creating conditions for farmers to access preferential capital to develop the craft (job)
- signed with cooperatives to develop mulberry growing area
- signed a contract of purchasing products between KBL and Angel Movement Singapore (not sure about the name of this Singapore company, kindly search it)
Along with the expectation of the project of growing mulberry & raising silkworms for high quality and productivity, restoring traditional craft which has been well-known for hundreds of years, the signing from seedlings, technique to investment shows prospects and the feasibility of the project as well as expectations of opportunities and life changes for those farmers who live based on growing mulberry & raising silkworms
