I agree that in a crisis bold, aggressive action is needed.

Let's say you're at the beach and see signs of a tidal wave. You gather some kids and drive them to high ground. This makes you a hero and your action should be applauded. However, if you refuse to return the kids to their parents and instead enslave them, should your actions still be applauded?
