Something being around longer means nothing when quality has been the most important, especially with Toyota/Lexus. Toyota has many voluntary recalls to continously improve their product. Who else would volunteer recall a 10+ year old truck to replace the frame and control arms due to premature rust issues, good luck finding another manufacturer to do that. I like Fords, but Toyota has better quality and reliability you can rely on for a good 10 to 20 years, most other manufacturers are good for 5 to maybe 10 years. Chevy and Hyundai are good for maybe 1 to 5 years, junk disposable cars.
