Agree that Alfasigma seems like an ideal IBD partner. They should be able to move Brilacidin UP forward relatively quickly.

Although, a small deal, it validates multiple things for the company. Alfasigma sees value in Brilacidin. Other companies may look at the company more seriously since they have one licensing deal. And, Leo has been proven not to be a liar when saying he has a term sheet.

I'm not surprised that the deal is smaller than most expected, but, the next deal should be better. Hoping it's for Brilacidin OM.

Yes! A first Deal... BRI UP/UPS delivering. $24m w 6% royalties for a PoC trial (no placebo) is a great deal imo with a legit Global Rx with IBD expertise.

Has been a LONG time in coming fer sure but will take it — and hopefully with more coming. Domino Effect. Maybe BRI OM the next Deal to drop? Research cap on, did some quick Googling and Alfasigma seems like an ideal IBD partner:

> Top 100 Global Rx ($1.2bn rev, 3000 employees)
> Big in GI: developed Xifaxan for IBS, an antibacterial (hmmm maybe partly why they like BRI) $1bn in sales in US alone in 2015
> Partnered with Salix (Bausch) (the other big GI specialty Rx) in late 2018 to work on formulations in Crohns
> Even had a Super Bowl commercial (250k YouTube views)

AS looks super well positioned to bring BRI UP/UPS to market, a new treatment for patients, and maybe our first revenue stream. Plus love how AS is waiting in wings possibly to option BRI Oral... UC / Crohns... that’s where the real patient need is (non Biologics) and the Big $$$ are (Protagonist, Theravance ... $50-100m upfront, $1bn in total deal size)

Looks like IPIX is back and ready to start rumbling again!
