Yes, Nike strengthened their base, but they alienated more than a few firefighters.

They potentially alienated anyone thats patriotic, and maybe theyre not
core customers, but they may influence or fund purchases.

Makes no sense when you have increasing competition.



Look down your nose at Sketchers, but the growth is much stronger.

There are better shoes out there than Nike, and until they stop their
nonsense, there are better companies.






"Sketchers? Those are for the elderly and only buy once every 5 years or so. Most of their customers are millennials who couldn't care less about what pisses people off. Nike has been doing the same thing for years. A couple of cops or firefighters stopped. So what. Nike doesn't care because people complaining aren't or never were consistent customers."
