The Post also rules the rest of the week, with average weekday sales of 191,495, barely down from the previous year, while the Times is down 8.6 percent and the Daily News plunged a whopping 26.5 percent, to 121,750.

Of late, the News has slashed coverage, particularly in sports. Recently it used the Associated Press to cover both the Yankees and the Mets, even with the Bronx Bombers playing a home game.

Meanwhile, The Post’s web traffic has skyrocketed. Comscore ranked The NYPost Network 16th in overall traffic for a news/information site, with 68 million visitors in March, beating out Apple News and the BBC, as well as Tribune and Hearst newspapers.
