I’ve had reoccurring dreams over the past week that the FDA will be announcing new policies that will permit the CBD industry to take off

Enforcement Discretion and THC-Free CBD is coming

The tone of the most recent communication from the FDA has really softened

This doesn’t happen by accident

They are setting the table

Dr. Amy Abernethy’s most recent tweet is a giveaway — I haven’t seen the the terms “expediting” and “American Hemp farmers” coming from the FDA until now

Mitch and friends have really turned up the pressure and let the FDA know that they are operating on a strict timetable so that Congress can ensure that the farmers have much more clarity regarding CBD before the 2020 Hemp planting season

FDA is expediting its work to address the many questions about cannabidiol (CBD). This is an important national issue with public health impact, & an important topic for American hemp farmers and many other stakeholders.

We are enthusiastic about research into the therapeutic benefits of CBD products but also need to balance safety. To understand the breadth of issues and gather data on safety we have conducted a public hearing, reviewed the medical literature, and have an open public docket.
