I have to disagree with a few points in your post.
1. Growing high quality, medical grade, cannabis is not difficult even for a complete novice. Understanding genetics, nutrition, and the scientific processes in a grow is admittedly more complex but completely within reason for anyone with the slightest interest.
2. 12 weeks is in no way sufficient time to achieve a "solid grow" unless using autoflowering cultivars to save time. Even then this would not allow any time for drying, curing, or processing. With a stated focus on quality craft cannabis I highly doubt even these folks would be this foolish.
3. Lighting and sun cycles... google is your friend. Indoor- 18 on / 6 off until its time to flower.... then 12 on / 12 off until harvest. Its really that simple. Outdoor/greenhouse- plant early and mother nature handles the rest. Of course determining indoor lighting requirements (PAR values, umols, PPFD, HID vs. LED, etc.) is a pain but even a beginner can piece it together and make it work with great success!
Having said this, don't expect too much from these guys. Scaling up to a commercial grow typically has a significant and detrimental effect on yields unless meticulously managed. I would love to see some photos of the farm as this would give some crucial information about what can be expected. I gave my production estimates in a previous post and even best case scenarios fell WAAAYYY short of NUGS estimates. We'll see.
Factors to be considered that all affect timelines - genetics, lighting, setups, nutrition, dry/cure/processing procedures, etc. With as forthcoming as Simon and crew are, getting this kind of info shouldn't be a problem.......
As far as the the $0.03 support goes, don't be surprised if that support turns to resistance when the curtain gets pulled back.
