United Rail is hoping to take tourists from Manhattan to Lake Placid and everywhere in between for skiers, hikers, campers, etc. The die-hard cyclists want the rails for themselves. The Department of Environmental Conservation wants public input on what to do.

Public comments will be taken until Aug. 12 this year on the draft scope any impacts the proposed actions may have. Written comments may be mailed to John Schmid, NYSDEC, 625 Broadway, Albany, NY, 12233, or emailed to [e-mail].

Tell them why you think it should stay as rails should stay. I don't think "I am a shareholder" would sway them. lol.
