Pretty simple right now. Stock is severely oversold and tons of people got scared below .05 and are trying to buy back in while very few are interested in selling at these depressed levels. The people still holding shares aren't going to sell now boys and girls...hence the PPS goes up. If they didn't freak out in the .03's then they're not freaking out in the .05's

All of that equals a rising bid and a rising ask/difficult scenario to buy a several hundred k share position back.
