The norm is that the company is trading 72 hours after notification assuming they have the required number of market makers on board.

The bell ringing comes a number of days later. The company is given a number of dates as options and chooses the most suitable. IPOs ring bell in the morning, uplifts May do the ceremonial bell ringing after the close
