i recently read an article on why investors are overpaying for our primary competitor wayfair. it made zero sense to me. so lets take a look at wayfair vs overstock big picture.


wayfair ye 2018 (losing money)
sales = 6.8b
market cap = 8.2b (today its 13.1b)
so at ye investors were paying 1.2 times sales, and its much higher today.



overstock ye 2018 (losing money)
sales = 1.8b
market cap at 1.2 times = 2.2b vs .5b today incl medici ventures

i do feel naming a new ceo of retail who has worked for overstock before will put the focus back on revenue and profit. 2q numbers will help to know that. even considering our reduced growth rate a 500m purchase price for overstock retail would be very low. pats not going to give it away.
