You were probably in the original company/entity named White Mountain Titanium Corp. That company is dead and buried. The ticker $WMTM has traded as a dead "shell" for a while. Recently, around March I believe, a firm that deals in shells took over custodianship of the ticker thereby gaining sole rights on the dead shell.

With this move, they usually update records, provide financial disclosures and bring the ticker current. The goal is to sell the shell to a company looking to go public through a reverse merger process. With this occurrence, a new company takes over and subsequently changes the ticker and other financial information based on the new company.

When this happens, old holders usually get some stake in the new company. Depending on the deal for existing shareholders, share value under a new company will be significantly more than it was as a dead shell.

How many shares do you own?
