What kind of bid would you make?

My hypothesis is if someone wanted to bid for 100K shares, 0.005 under the going Ask, one wouldn't have to wait for long. Why? Because the Shelf offering would see the volume, and snarf it up. The lower the bid, the more the volume required to get the Shelf offering to sell into it. On the other paw, a 10K share bid will probably sit there for awhile. Needing the downdraft of another retail trader dumping. The way my hypothesis could fall apart is if Kenny tells whoever is handling the S3 to not sell, once they got past 30-Apr for the 10K. Lately though, the Ask stack has been amply supplied.
