IMO it depends on how knowledgeable the incumbent shareholders are about R/S. Usually it takes a few days/weeks before the pain is felt. Sometimes they wait until AFTER the R/S and sell out as the PPS starts its descent.

I'm still amazed at how so many folks on these trading boards do not understand how devastating an R/S is to a penny stock. 95% of the time it wipes out their equity as the pps capitulates over the first several months following an R/S. Some still hang in their because they are true believers in the company and the CEO's pumping and promises. Then they lose 90%. The CEO and company keeps on pumping via overly optimistic PRs following the R/S because they want to sell/dump/dilute at the maximum price. The SEC only occasionally polices penny stocks like this. Then after the SHs get burned they start bashing the CEO. To understand the damage one must often personally experience the CEO/Insider deception and subsequent equity wipeout. It's very sad. I've felt the pain twice in my two decades of trading. And I've watched many others get wiped out who won't listen. I've learned my lesson.
