As if you have followed my info,
Been in this business for more than 3 decades ending with my top five spot in sales for the entire east coast.
Fortune 500 leading sales trainer for foodservice consulting.
We both know how this can swing high but padding takes the edge off.
I didnt start the padding process but thanks for who did.
Bringing SRC’s up for the company but down for the rep.

Offer a click down salary plus commission percent for one full year.
Give your sales reps the choice of salary around $ 75,000 w/o bonus or $40,000 plus comm as long as the margin is set for the said rep.

This is the type of business I started back in the early 80’s.
We wrote the scales of margin splitting with outside sales rep with and incentive package through commission on a guaranteed salary along with Gas and his cell phone allowance. You take care of your sales people with spiffs and reward them from your brokers. The brokers as you know I’ve paid for all of it anyway.

You know as well as I do this company could turn around on a dime. That’s why you’re not so worried about it because it happens very quickly once it does.

And the only person that can make that jet take off is you!
I have stood in front of regional presidents having 13 distribution fenders, with all of the top five sales reps included. The cream of the crop and we took them all to Cancun to let them and their wives or husbands know if you perform this way,
You shall be treated as such,
In this case, a week with the best reps and market Presidents jammin teq shots while playing water volleyball will remind you when you’re back on the street that all you really needed to do is stay out there the extra hour and learn as much as you can about the product you’re selling even if they’re 17,000 line items.

My wife reminded me of the island trips we have taken.
My wife just so happens to have been invired to every trip to another green water island because her husband understands that the only way to win is to hit it as hard as you can without being pushy.

Reps that know the product,
as in yield and margins along with its different levels of quality can sell twice as much by knowing the three most important things that your customer thinks is most important to his business. Its the reps job to know.
Its called building rapport.

That and much more makes this company successful as long as the direction leads that way.
