It's a tin foil hat theory that you put your shares at $1 ask so MMs cant borrow them, but it doesnt qork that way. Your broker has to reach out to you to be able to borrow unused shares, and they occassionally do ask those with large share counts. Also, I dont think VATE even has significant short interest, if I'm reading it correctly on their OTC profile, there was like only 60,000 shares shorted per 5/31 report (reported every 2 weeks).
