I'm 33

Ahoy there Captain!!!

Ah, 33 . . . one of the greatest age zones in life. Old enough to be 'world-wise' and mature, and young enough to still do athletic things. I was a basketball player all my life. A fanatic! Stopped playing at 67 because of knee problems. Your parents sounded just like mine, when they were alive. Dad was brilliant. Mom was a worrier.

I'm going to provide this worn out phrase. "You will not believe how fast your life with speed by you!" I know. So, feast on everything you can during the next two decades of your life. My brain still can't catch up to my age. I'm the world's oldest teenager. I would MUCH better spend time around someone your age than with my own peers. They make me sad from watching their dull outlooks. Younger people still have 'adventure' in their souls.

By the way . . . may I ask just what are you the captain of? The captain of your life, maybe?
