@Jeff - Well, I took your advice and sent the following email to The Gates Foundation. Let's see if I get a response back:

In full disclosure, I want to inform you that I am a shareholder of CTSO. CTSO is a small up an coming biotech company which has saved many lives across the globe by reducing and/or eliminating Sepsis in many countries. It received the European CE Mark (FDA counterpart in Europe) and has many channels of selling the product in many countries except America. It has launched a few studies and trials to achieve FDA approval here in the United States, but due to the expensive process, it has to keep issuing more shares to raise the funds for this purpose. I would like for someone at the Gates Foundation to just take a few minutes and investigate all of the achievements and medical journal publications stating the process that CTSO has in place to help people with multiple blood ailments. It has received grants from the U.S. Military to conduct studies about helping soldiers with burns and other injuries which have shown a strong efficacy already. But without FDA approval, many millions of people can die or suffer from these diseases. It would be a great achievement for the Gates Foundation to look into this and see if CTSO qualifies for grants necessary to continue trials and studies to help many more people.

I appreciate the work The Gates Foundation has and is still doing to help many facets of life with their grants and assistance. I hope you will consider looking to see if they qualify or even deserve any grants at all.
