Comparing Hay Mountain, theorized to be a giant, 90 billion dollar porphyry deposit, to Hemlo, is not exactly apples to apples:

The Hemlo deposit is approximately three kilometres long by two kilometres deep and averages 20 m wide with a very small surface expression.

Sure, drilling and missing something like the Hemlo deposit is understandable. Drilling and missing a giant porphyry deposit and completely missing significant alteration or mineralization? Not likely.

A couple well-placed drill holes at Hay Mountain might not result in impressive runs of ore-grade mineralization, but it would at least result in lithologic, structural, and mineralization data that could help finetune the ZTEM model.

Drill a few holes, LBSR! I am sure a few long-suffering longs would pony up a couple hundred thousand bucks to drill those few holes needed to either find make a discovery, find indications of something that would raise the interest of a JV partner, or.......find nothing and end this decade-long, lifestyle-supporting, money pit.

I wish them luck. A new discovery in SE Arizona would be exciting.
