GetRich1day,

this is not awareness at all,

this is to my understanding the confirmation that the industry and in this case Materialise can not develop there own IPQA software (at Materialise it was called Inspector) after the first approach with Sigma Labs in 2014!!!

Sigma Labs is the winner of that unequal contest (David and Goliaths) as Materialise and many others (like EOS, SLM, CL etc) can not deliver and Sigma Labs got the Approval of the American DARPA recently and sometimes we say that the winner takes it all!!!

Now, it has been revealed that Materialise and Sigma Labs will develop and commercialize an integrated in-situ quality assurance (QA) system for metal 3D printing. The developed QA system will be commercialized under a joint agreement.

This is not the first collaboration between the two companies. In 2014, Materialise had integrated its AM automation, control, and management software Streamics into Sigma Labs’ PrintRite3D.

Nice to see awareness of this in another news outlet. <<<
